Tanja attended the Royal School of Needlework's three year apprenticeship course in decorative hand embroidery and then spent a further two years as a workroom staff member where she taught workshops and embroidered on commission, restoration and conservation pieces.

Tanja teaches throughout the USA and Canada at National Seminars and local chapters. Five of her Needle Painting designs are published in the A-Z of Thread Painting and she has Goldwork and Blackwork articles published in the Inspirations Embroidery Magazine.
