Extensive illustrations and diagrams are included to give the student a better understanding of this exciting subject. Included are the history of silk embroidery and an explo- ration of sericulture. Three designs will be worked, two following the teacher’s instructions and one of the student’s own creation. LESSON 1.  History of silk embroidery, working a given design in silk. LESSON 2.  History of metal thread embroidery; care of threads; working of project, stressing silk mitering techniques and including use of three metal threads.
