Seminar 2017

Let me be the first to welcome you to Blue Ridge Rendezvous, EGA National Seminar 2017.

Our Carolinas Region is excited to be hosting the national seminar in Asheville, North Carolina, which we think has some of the most beautiful scenery around. And our seminar committee has been working for almost 4 years to make this event happen.

There are almost 100 of you who clicked the box "a first time national seminar attendee" on the registration form so many months ago. And now we are less than two months away.

I hope that you are getting as excited to attend as I am to host. By now you should have received welcome letters from your teachers and have made your hotel and plane reservations, or gotten out maps and your navigation system.

You might take another look at the seminar brochure to see again all that will be happening. Sometime around the middle of July you will receive the summer edition of the Blue Ridge Chronicle by mail or email. This is our newsletter that will give you the latest information and hopefully pique your interest at all that will be going on.

In anticipation of questions you might, we have prepared "Fast Facts for First Timers" which can be accessed through this link. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have other questions especially now as you are getting ready. I welcome emails and phone calls. I have truly enjoyed every minute of getting ready to throw this party. And would be happy to talk to you and provide any help that I can.

The seminar committee will be hosting a welcome reception for first timers on the Expo Center Veranda at the Crowne Plaza on Thursday, August 17, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. We plan to have the EGA president and lots of old timers around to answer your questions or just to talk about EGA.

There will be a First Timers Welcome Table in the Laurel Foyer at the Crowne , along with Seminar Registration and the Volunteer/Hospitality table.

Getting more excited by the day,

Julie Anderson

Thank you!

Seminar 2017 is now a happy memory. Our entire committee would like to thank all of the attendees, faculty, and support staff that helped make our time in Asheville such a wonderful experience.

And I would like to thank all of the members of our committee and the members of the Carolinas Region who worked so hard for several years to ensure that everyone had fun in Asheville and enjoyed the experience and camaraderie that lots of embroiderer’s in one place are sure to have.
