Using a lovely shaded and bricked background to add focal areas and emphasis, counted, surface and padded embroidery techniques add layers of depth and interest. The project is a diminutive book cover (3" x 4"). This class explores many techniques to help understand how color, texture, shading, highlights, and regular patterning can be used to maximize interest and movement in a design.
